Existing system:

  • Ajax 850,000 BTUH tube boiler efficiency 67%.
  • Domestic hot water production system a #14 Everhot with a Watts mechanical mixing valve.
  • No hot water storage tank and three handle shower non pressure balanced fixtures.

Solution:  Separate the system with one boiler for heating and one for domestic hot water, with storage.

Equipment selection:

  • Install 1 Munchkin heating boiler at 92% efficient.
  • Install 1 munchkin domestic hot water boiler at 96% efficient.
  • Use wet rotor Taco commercial pumps.
Domestic hot water production cost reduced by 50%
Overall consumption reduced 65%
